HipoBuy Sheets: Keep the Wishlist Separate from the Order Budget

Browse categories

HipoBuy sheets work best when a saved idea cannot accidentally become a budgeted purchase. Separate items you are browsing from the variants you have checked, and separate both from orders already placed.

Give each part of the sheet one job

Use a wishlist for possible designs, a comparison area for a small set of alternatives and a purchase record for items you actually order. You can move between them without treating every interesting find as a commitment.

In the comparison area, record the intended use, exact option, important measurements and the question still unresolved. The wishlist may be brief; a purchase decision needs enough detail to explain why that variant suits you.

The spreadsheet walkthrough explains how these rows lead to actions. More entries are helpful only if they remain understandable.

Compare alternatives without buying both by accident

Suppose you want one printed white top. Keep possible replacements together and decide which one best matches the shape and design you need. Do not allow every attractive alternative to enter the final total simply because it has a row.

The floral-lightbulb T-shirt below is one candidate for that exercise. Check the current size information and selected option before recording it as ready to order.

A thumbnail and a title identify a find; neither confirms your fit or reserves the item. If the relevant measurement is unavailable, leave the decision unresolved or select a better-documented alternative.

Keep cost entries comparable

Store the item amount and currency with the option it describes. Add transport estimates separately, with the parcel assumptions behind them. Do not mix a single-item amount, a multipack price and a delivered total in one comparison column.

The shipping-estimates guide helps explain why a parcel cost can change after packing. Updating the parcel calculation should not overwrite the item-price record.

Preserve the order history privately

Once you order, keep the transaction reference, selected variant and relevant correspondence in your personal records. If you share the shortlist, remove account information and do not expose private order pages.

Update the active row when a link changes, but retain a brief note explaining any replacement. Use QC photos to check the received item and tracking to follow the parcel after shipment. Those records answer questions that a public shopping sheet cannot answer on its own. Home
